IntelliEvent has grown to approximately 35 employees and 3,000 customers. EI acquired Master Repair and its approximately 2,500 customers in 2009. EI acquired IntelliEvent Lightning at the end of 2010. IntelliEvent Lightning Enterprise and IntelliEvent’s team is a perfect partner/solution for all event, production, service, and sales businesses.
Don Romeka was born in Glendale, CA in 1967. His parents moved to Santa Clarita, when Don was 9 months old. He grew up working for his father’s industrial supply business in Sun Valley, CA. He developed a passion for entrepreneurship and small business. He grew up with his father’s constant quote “it’s not the number of years you live, it’s the number of events you live.”
Don received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Santa Clara University in 1989. He then joined Triad Systems Corporation (NASDAQ), a leading supplier of software solutions for the automotive industry, and the hard lines and lumber industry. For seven years he worked his way up the ladder, when Triad was acquired in 1996 for $200 Million, Don moved on to Southern California based Unocal 76 / 76 Products Company. He worked with 76 Products Company in rolling out their new franchise called Auto Pulse for their 700 service stations that serviced automobiles. Unocal 76 invested in Don’s MBA at the Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS).
Don resides in Monterey, CA. He has a lovely wife named Tina, and a son who is at Cal Poly Mechanical Engineering School (in SLO, CA), and a daughter who is at LMU in Los Angeles, on a tennis scholarship, and is studying Marketing. Don is an active member of the Silicon Valley Executive Network, and also loves all sports especially golf, basketball, and any water sport.
