Follow the instructions exactly to avoid data damage!!! IntelliEvent is not responsible for data corrupted or lost due to user error.
Instructions
1. Everyone must log out of IntelliEvent and stay out of IntelliEvent until the update is finished.
2. Make a copy of all data file segments as a backup (usually named intlevnt.df1, intlevnt.df2, intlevnt.df3, etc.)
a. To be sure everyone is logged out, try to rename the intlevnt.df1 file. If an error occurs, then someone is still logged in. Sometimes a server* restart is required to terminate remaining connections.
3. On one workstation:
a. Unzip the downloaded intlevnt.lbr file and place it in the C:\IntelEvent folder.
b. Open IntelliEvent and when prompted to reorganize choose YES.
c. When login screen appears the update is done.
4. Unzip the downloaded intlevnt.lbr file and paste it to the server* directory where the datafiles are kept.
Everyone should be able to login. If a user is getting a message that they are attempting to use a previous version, do the following:
5. Copy the intlevnt.lbr file put on the server* to the C:\IntelEvent folder on the workstation having the problem. Run IntelliEvent again.
